Listing Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains what can be listed on Dalalmaf and how listings are checked. It forms part of our Terms of Use (https://dalalmaf.com/legal/terms).
Who can post
- Dalalmaf is for property owners. Post only a property you own, or one you are legally authorised by its owner to advertise.
- Auction Properties are posted only by verified staff of the bank or financial institution selling the property.
- We may limit how many listings one account can have.
Accurate information
- Describe the property truthfully: its type, size, floor, features, condition and the purpose you're listing it for (sale, rent, lease or PG).
- Show the real, current price. For rent, PG and lease, show the period the price is for.
- Put the property in its correct city and locality, and its correct place on the map.
- Keep the listing up to date. Mark it sold or rented, or remove it, as soon as it's no longer available.
- List each property only once. To change a listing, edit it instead of posting it again.
Photos and videos
- Use only photos and videos of the property being listed, taken by you or with permission.
- They must be clear and show the property honestly. Don't use blurry, misleading or edited images, stock photos, or pictures of other properties.
- No watermarks, logos, phone numbers, website addresses or other contact details in photos or videos.
- Don't show people, especially children, without their permission. Avoid showing vehicle number plates or private documents.
- Videos can be up to 3 minutes and 200 MB, in MP4 or MOV format.
- By submitting a listing, you allow Dalalmaf to use its photos, videos and details to promote the property on Dalalmaf and on Dalalmaf's social media channels, such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Linkedin and Threads as well as other online platforms. Videos may be published on Dalalmaf's YouTube channel, and YouTube's Terms of Service apply to them: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
Not allowed
Listings and content are not allowed if they:
- are for a property you're not entitled to advertise, or that doesn't exist;
- are fake, misleading, duplicated or bait listings (for example, a low price to attract calls for a different property);
- contain phone numbers, email addresses, website links or social media handles in the title, description, photos or videos (buyers contact you through Dalalmaf);
- discriminate against anyone on the basis of religion, caste, community, gender, marital status, food habits or similar grounds;
- ask for a token amount, deposit or any payment before a visit and document check;
- are for unauthorised or illegal construction, or for property under a legal dispute that you haven't disclosed;
- contain obscene, offensive, defamatory or unlawful content, or infringe anyone's copyright or privacy;
- advertise anything other than real estate.
Checking and removal
- Our team reviews listings before they go live. We may approve a listing, ask you to change it, or refuse it, and we tell you the reason.
- Significant edits to a live listing, such as a large price change, may be checked again.
- Anyone can report a listing with "Report a problem with this listing" on its page. Listings that receive several serious reports (for example, of fraud or a fake property) may be paused automatically while we check them.
- We may remove any listing that breaks this policy, our Terms or the law, and may suspend accounts that do so repeatedly or seriously.
- Listings expire after a set period. We remind you before then, and you can renew a listing that is still available.
